Gunnery Instructors' Seminar - 2019
2019-12-0713th Gunnery Instructors' Seminar was successfully held at the School of Artillery Minneriya on 07 December 2019.  Major General WRP de Silva VSV USP ndu IG, the Colonel Commandant and the Master Gunner of the Regiment of Artillery precede at the event with the participation of 32 Gunnery Instructors.
Days' proceedings commenced with declare opening of newly constructed conference hall by the Colonel Commandant and proceed with the Seminar formalities. Following research based studies were presented during the Seminar: Â
a. Artillery in Urban Operations; Sri Lankan Perspective.

b. Use of Modular Charge Systems in Sri Lankan Artillery; Challenges and Way Forward.  Â
c. Modern Survey Equipment; How Best We Can Upgrade the Existing System.
Â
d. Role of Air Defence in Modern Battlefield; Are We Ready?
Â
Each presentation created a healthy dialog among the participants to derive much important lessons for contemporary practices in the Field of Gunnery. The event culminated with a colorful reunion at the Officers' Mess.
