Blood Donation Programme Oraganized by the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch
2020-02-20The first ever blood donation programme organized by the member of the Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch, took place successfully on the 20 February 2020, at the Sri Bodhirajaramaya temple panagoda with 186 donors of blood registering on the list.
173 donors, donated blood and a medical team comprising of 2 doctors and 22 nurses of the blood bank of the Sri Lanka Army hospital, Narahenpita performed the campaign.
Among the organizing committee and donors of the campaign were the officers and other ranks of the Regimental Centre, members of the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch and civilians of the area.
Mrs Kumudini wanigasooriya ,Mrs Shirani Ariyasinghe, Mrs Chami Wanasinghe , Mrs Shanthi Abeysekara, Mrs Nirosha Dissanayake and Mrs Nimme Wijesinghe assisted in sponsoring 300 King coconut, Tea Bun ,CIC bananas, hot cups of Nestomalt. L/Bdr Rathnayake arranged Samaposha for all donors present. The committee and members of the branch were among the many blood donors.
