The first phase of water and sanitary project at Regiment of Artillery funded by Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch
2020-05-28The water and sanitation project for all ranks of the Regiment was the main focus of the Artillery Seva Vanitha branch. But due to COVID 19 pandemic the proposed project was stalled. However, the long-awaited project got underway with the Seva Vanitha Artillery branch rendering a helping hand to the Regimental Centre in meeting the water and sanitation requirements of the troops that undergo quarantine. A sum of Rs: 119,000/- was donated to do up the wash rooms of 10 Bty by replacing the unusable squatting pans, wash basins, commodes, PVC doors, water supply, drainage system, sewerage pipes, taps and head showers.
The remaining wash rooms including the officers wash rooms and over head tanks will be donated in due course. In spite of prevailing challenges, the Artillery Seva Vanitha will continue support to the brethren of the tribe for further improvement of water and sanitation.
