2022-07-23MAJ AAS Amarathunga SLA assumed duties as the 12th Commanding Officer of 12 (V) Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery (Rft) on 12 July 2022 at the Headquarters, Koorai. Stand for the traditions and norms of the Army, the days proceedings were commenced with a Guard Turn Out in customary way at the camp entrance.
As an emblematic gesture of taking over the command, the New Commanding Officer placed his signature in a formal document after a brief religious observance. The itinerary has textured with planting a tree, troops address and all rank tea.
