Commander Artillery Brigade pays official visit to 15 Drone Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery
2026-05-26The Commander, Artillery Brigade, Brigadier DMPU Dissanayake RSP USP IG, paid an official visit to the 15 Drone Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, Balalla, on 26 May 2026, following his assumption of duties. Upon arrival, he was warmly received by the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel MKR Bandara psc SLA, and was accorded a Guard Turnout in honour of his visit. The occasion also included a group photograph and the planting of a sapling within the regimental premises.
During the visit, the Commanding Officer conducted a comprehensive briefing for the Brigade Commander, highlighting the regiment’s current responsibilities, operational aspects, and ongoing activities. Thereafter, Brigadier DMPU Dissanayake conducted a camp visit to observe the regiment’s facilities and operational arrangements firsthand.
The programme concluded with the Brigade Commander addressing the troops and appreciating their dedication and professionalism. At the end of the visit, Brigadier DMPU Dissanayake RSP USP IG penned his reflections in the visitors’ book, leaving a message of encouragement and guidance for the future progress of the 15 Drone Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery.
