MONTHLY MEETING AND DONATION PROGRAMME OF ARTILLERY SEVA VANITHA BRANCH

The monthly meeting for the months March, April, May & June took place on the 21st of June 2020 at the Artillery Officers’ Mess - Panagoda. It was held amidst a gathering of many members. Matters pertaining to the future welfare projects including student counselling sessions and women’s empowerment were among the points of the discussion. On successful completion of the meeting, an informative lecture on " Women’s Leadership Qualities " was delivered to the ladies by Dr. Iresha Lakshman, senior lecturer in Sociology of the University of Colombo.

Three housing donations worth Rupees one hundred thousand each was given to Mrs WMN Leelawathi, Late S/108286 Gnr Bandara AMU (KIA) 4 - SLA , in Mullaitivu on the 18th of July 1996 to construct a bathroom. The other two housing donations were made to S/158866 Bdr Chandana Kumara KMA 8 - SLA, S/161079 Gnr prasanna KG 15 - SLA.

Farewell was bid to S/160246 L/Bdr Ratnayaka RMAK 11 - SLA the out going clerk of the SLA Seva Vanitha Office. A token of appreciation was given to him by the president, Mrs Kumudini Wanigasooriya appreciating his dedicated services rendered towards the success of the institute.
