THE CHILDREN'S DAY -2023 SCHOOL STATIONARY AND BOOK DONATION PROGRAM ARTILLERY SEVA VANITHA BRANCH

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, under the patronage of the President of the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Chama Wanasinghe, organized a School stationary and Books donation program for 121 needy children of Other Rankers and Civil servants in the Regiment, on 07 October 2023, at the 4th Artillery Regiment Auditorium. This noble undertaking has bestowed immeasurable value upon those who are most deserving of care, attention and affection, in line with the theme for "Children's day; Best things for Children". Out of 127 needy Children, Twenty five Children and their beloved fathers participated as recipients in symbolizing the effort of donation.

In this momentous endeavor, Donors generously contributed for Rs 595,000 worth of School stationaries including Shoes, for this worthy cause.

The donation program marks a historical juncture as one of the most cherished and momentous chapter in the annals of Sri Lanka Artillery, as the first ever program launched to donate Stationary and Books for 121 Children of the Regiment, with the collaboration of donors in such a magnitude and number. The Chief of Staff of the Army & the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Artillery, Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu along with the President of the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Chama Wanasinghe personally worked tirelessly in managing donors and joined with donors for the presentation and the Committee members and other distinguished senior Officers also present at the occasion.
