DONATION OF ICU BEDS TO ARMY HOSPITAL NARAHENPITA THROUGH ARMY SEVA VANITHA UNIT

The Regiment, along with the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Regiment of Artillery, is immensely engaged in post-war welfare for Officers and Other Ranks who toiled with blood and sweat for the motherland.

By extending the hands of humanity, the Regiment of Artillery, along with the Seva Vanitha Branch, donated four state-of-the-art and sophisticated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds to the Army Seva Vanitha Unit for the convenient use of the Army Hospital, Narahenpita.

The President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, officially received the ICU beds from the President of the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, at a charming event organized to celebrate her second anniversary in her appointment. We, the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch, strongly believe that the donation worth Rs 10,800,000 would help ease the complex operability at the Army Hospital to some extent.

The Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College and the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment, Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG, personally coordinated this worthy donation. Officials of the Army Seva Vanitha Branch and Senior Officers were also present at this event.
