Unity, Tradition, and Happiness: New Year Celebrations at Sri Lanka Artillery

The spirit of unity, tradition, and joy came alive on 25 April 2026 at the Seva Vanitha Branch Complex, Sri Lanka Artillery, as the Sinhala and Hindu New Year Festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm and vibrant participation.

The event featured 18 exciting and entertaining games, alongside traditional dance performances, lively music acts, and a DJ session, creating a festive atmosphere for all. A prize distribution ceremony recognized the winners, while special gifts were presented to all children, adding smiles and joy to the occasion. The celebrations concluded with a delightful lunch, fostering camaraderie and togetherness among all present.

This memorable event was organized through the collective efforts of the members of the Seva Vanitha Branch and the Sri Lanka Artillery, reflecting their strong sense of unity and dedication.

The occasion was gracefully attended by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General KVNP Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, along with the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Vindya Premaratne. The presence of Senior Officers, Officers, members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, and Other Rankers with their families added prestige and warmth to the celebration.
