Artillery Branch of Seva Vanitha on their routine visit to Abhimansala on 20th July 2013
2013-07-20Seva Vanitha Artillery Branch with its president Mrs. Champika Rambukpotha and members made their routine visit to Abhimansala, the Wellness Resort to care for disabled military personal situated at a soothing place of scenic beauty in the North Central province, on the banks of Thisa Wewa in Anuradhapura District on 20th July 2013. It was a great, memorable and touching occasion for inmates, members of Artillery Seva Vanitha and sponsors who really contributed to make the day an eventful one for the members of Abimansala. The inmates on wheel chairs extended a warm welcome to the President and its members of Artillery Seva Vanitha and sponsors, followed by the commandant and the staff of Abhimansala. Thereafter each inmate was presented with 48 IPODs with latest features and facilities including video and audio, this was a request made by inmates to Artillery Seva Vanitha when they visited Abimansala last... Twenty numbers of rubber carpets from Dax Holdings and bottles of Hand wash donated by Dreamron were also presented. The President, its members and sponsors also made it a point to have a close interaction with all inmates of Abhimansala. It was an encouraging and a satisfying period for all Seva Vanitha members and sponsors to spend time with them as their facial expressions and gestures clearly indicated how pleased they were. The President Seva Vanitha of Sri Lanka Artillery and its members profusely thank Mr and Mrs Sisila and Gowri Indraratne, friends and relatives and Etisalat Sri Lanka for their generous gesture of honouring our war heroes who needs a lifelong help and assistance.
