Felicitation of Civilian Employees of the Regiment of Artillery
2014-01-12Seva vanitha Branch of Regiment of Artillery, under the patronage of the president Mrs. Champika Rambukpotha once again organized civil servants get together in the Regiment of Artillery, for the second consecutive year, on 11 Jan 2014 at the Regimental Centre. More than 85 civil servants along with wives and children from all part of the country enjoyed the event joyfully. It was a novelty idea originated by Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch to extend a rare vote of appreciation to the civil servants in the Regiment of Artillery for their dedicated service.
The event started unfolding with the arrival of chief guest the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Artillery Major General J C Rambukpotha along with the president of Artillery Seva vanitha branch Mrs Champika Rambukpotha at the venue. They were traditionally welcome by the members of Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch.
It was a mixed feeling of happiness and satisfaction for the SevaVanitha ladies to see the civil servants with their children enjoying and dancing to the fabulous music dished out by the beat group. Everyone enjoyed the grand event. All the civil servants were given a gift parcel of a rice cooker, a steam iron and essential goods hamper.
The event was sponsored by Singer Sri Lanka PLC with the Co-sponsors of Fonterra, Cargills Ceylon, Uni Lever Ceylon, Hemas, Nestle Lanka, Dilmah Tea and Arpico. The event was organized by members of Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch.
