Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Artillery Marked the Universal Children’s Day – 2012

Seva Vanitha unit of the Sri Lanka Artillery marked the universal children’s day, 2012 with the children of serving, deceased and disabled other ranks of the Regiment of Artillery. 100 children were received by the members of Artillery Seva Vanitha on the 07 October at the Artillery premises in Panagoda in the morning and all were given with a drink and a piece of cake at the outset and assured of a fun filled and a memorable day out. A singing competition was the first activity with eight talented one’s performing extremely well and all contestants had to be complimented with gifts. Next was the journey to Mount Lavinia to enjoy activities arranged at the KFC. They played until they were exhausted. All were served with the happy meal and a drink at the KFC and a gift too by the staff of KFC. All children returned to Panagoda and continued to enjoy activities and other arrangements of the organizers, they were served with Ice Cream. Dancing competition was another attraction where 35 children participated and gifts were given to all of them. Every child was presented with a bag of sweets and a school bag with books and other amenities such as pens, pencils, erasers, cutters, rulers, Instrument boxes, crayons, colour pencils, colour pens, etc…. before the conclusion, all children were thrilled and carried pleasant memories.
