The Military Spouse Appeciation Day 2013

Seva Vanitha Branch of the Regiment of Artillery organized a wide range of activities to honour and appreciate, contributions and dedications of the ladies who stood by the man in uniform during difficult times to encourage, strengthen and to facilitate his duties, on the 23rd of Saturday, March 2013 at the Water’s Edge, Battaramulla as an event to commemorate the International Women’s Day. 150 ladies of Officers’ of the Regiment of Artillery and Officers of the Defence Services Command and Staff College representing tri forces were present and all of them were served with an entrance gift at the outset, followed by snacks and refreshments. All ladies present witnessed a well articulated food demonstration by Water’s Edge culinary staff and also a product demonstration by the Singer Sri Lanka. Oriflame too had a special promotion with a special counter. All were served with a sumptuous and a delicious lunch as the event progressed. Dancing competition was most entertaining and the winners walked away with Gift Vouchers. Raffle draw was also a key attraction, every lady present was happy as there were prices for all of them ranging from electrical items, Beautiful sarees, Cosmetics, Gift Vouchers, Gold and a Silver Pendant etc.. The theme of this celebration is “Military Spouse Appreciation Day 2013” it was indeed an appreciation of their untiring dedication towards a noble cause. The President of Artillery Seva Vanitha Mrs Champika Rambukpotha together with members of Seva Vanitha Branch of the Regiment of Artillery expresses their gratitude to all sponsors for their valuable contributions to make the event a resounding success.
