Colonel Commandant's final visit to the School of Artillery

The Colonel Commandant Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, Maj Gen G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG paid his final visit to the School of Artillery on 18 and 19 April 2019. The programme began with the offering of an official dinner to the Colonel Commandant on 18 April at Officer's mess - Minneriya. The programme of the following day was comprised number of significant events as indicated below:

a. Guard turnout.

b. Inaugural of newly constructed facility complex.

c. Inaugural of kitchen complex in WOs & Sgts mess.

d. Establishing of computer lab, which comprises of 10 computers with all accessories. This project was initiated by the Hon president, Artillery Seva Vanitha branch with the financial assistance from the Commercial Bank PLC. The estimated cost of the project is over 2.5 Millions. The project was inaugurated by the Hon president, Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch including senior members.

e. Awarding of certificates to 21 Artillery soldiers who followed the special training in hotel apprenticeship in Grand Hotel - Nuwara Eliya.

f. Donating of School items and financial assistance for housing projects for the selected low income families of the Artillery soldiers by the Artillery Seva Vanitha branch.
