2019-08-22Lt Col O N J De Silva USP IG assumed office as the 21st Commanding Officer of 6th Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery on 22 August 2019 at Headquarters 6th Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, Panagoda.
Programme for assuming duties commenced with reviewing the Guard Turnout presented by the Unit. Then as a symbolic gesture of taking over the command, Lt Col O N J De Silva USP IG placed his signature for a formal document after a brief religious observance. The itinerary has included with planting a sapling and troop address.
