Passing Out of Young Officers' Course - 45
2019-12-03Eight young officers have stepped into the family of professional Gunners after successful completion of the Young officers' Preparatory Course - 45 at the School of Artillery, Minneriya.
Major General KNS Kotuwegoda ndc IG graced the occasion as the chief guest and Brigadier MP Karunaratne IG the Commander Artillery Brigade and number of senior officers were presented for the event. Day's proceeding has begun with the Course final presentation on "Employment of Artillery in the Eastern Humanitarian Operation".
At the termination of a comprehensive presentation, certificates awarding ceremony was held. During the ceremony, 2/Lieutenant HGJKD Pathiraja SLA was awarded with the "Silver Gun" as he was placed in the first in order of merit based on best overall performances in the course. The culmination of the entire event marked the Mess Night held at the officers' mess, with the participation of healthy number of officers.
