GRADUATION OF LONG GUNNERY STAFF COURSE (OR) FD- 16
2021-01-09Graduation Ceremony of the Long Gunnery Staff Course (LGSC) FD - 16, which commenced from 10 February 2020 to 08 January 2021, was held on 08 January 2021 at School of Artillery, Minneriya.
After successful completion of the course, 7 NCOs were graduated as Assistant Instructors in Gunnery. The Brigadier General Staff, Security Forces Headquarters (East) Brig D P U Gunasekara RWP USP IG graced the Graduation Ceremony as the Chief Guest. He witnessed the final presentation of the course at morning hours on the subject of "Challenges and difficulties encountered in Long Gunnery Staff Course (OR) and suggestions to overcome them".
The Chief Guest awarded certificates and AIsG insignias to the newly graduated AIsG during the ceremony. Further, Bombardier Peiris DP from 7 SLA secured the first in order of merit having obtained the highest aggregate. The overall course average recorded as 70.87 per cent. Representatives from all artillery regiments were also present at the event.
