2021-08-15Lt Col KGMP Gunathilake USP SLA assumed duties as the 16 Commanding Officer of 11 Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery (RFT) on 14 August 2021 at Headquarters 11 Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery (RFT), Talaimannar. Programme for assuming duties commenced with reviewing the Guard Turnout. As a symbolic gesture of taking over the command, Lt Col KGMP Gunathilake USP SLA placed his signature for a formal document after a brief religious observance. The day's event itinerary included planting of a mango sapling, troop address and all rank tea at the OR’s Mess with strictly adherence to the health guidance given to prevent the Covid -19 pandemic.
