Farewell Ceremony to Major General LDSS Liyanage RSP USP psc Hdmc
2022-09-02Sri Lanka Artillery bid farewell to Major General LDSS Liyanage RSP USP psc Hdmc on 1 September 2022, who retired after serving more than 34 years in the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army. Farewell formalities were held in its customary way at Artillery Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda.
Commencement of the ceremony marked by laying a flower wreath to the fallen war heroes at the Regimental Monument. A Guard turnout and Guard of honour were awarded to the retiring Major General, by the Troops of the Regiment of Artillery. The Officers present were attended a tea at the WOs'/Sgts' Mess followed by all Ranks lunch at ORs' Mess - 4 SLA.
The days' events were concluded after formal dinner offered to the outgoing Major General, at the Offers' Mess.
