Farewell Ceremony to Major General W A S S Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu
2023-10-13Sri Lanka Artillery bid farewell to outgoing 22nd Colonel Commandant Major General W A S S Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu on 12 October 2023, who retired after serving more than 35 years in the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army. Ceremony was held in its customary way at Artillery Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda. Commencement of the ceremony for marked by laying a flower wreath to the fallen war heroes at the Regimental Monument. A Guard turnout and a Farewell Parade were accorded to the Major General W A S S Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu, by the Troops of the Regiment. The Officers present were attended a tea at the WOs'/ Sgts' Mess and day's events were concluded with All Ranks Lunch at ORs' Mess - 4 SLA.
