THE BASKETBALL TEAM OF THE REGIMENT OF ARTILLERY SELECTED FOR THE QUARTER-FINALS OF THE ARMY INTER REGIMENT BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT AFTER 11 YEARS
2024-03-15The Army Inter Regiment Basketball Tournament of 2024 was held from 4th March to 16th March, at the Sri Lanka Army Indoor Stadium in Panagoda. The Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery made it to the quarter-finals for the first time since 2013. Despite putting on a strong performance, the Artillery team missed the opportunity to qualify for the semi-finals after losing to the Sri Lanka Signal Corps team in the quarter-finals on 12th March 2024. Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG, who serves as the Commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College as well as the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, along with other Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of the Gunner family, were present at the location to support and encourage the players.
