Sri Lanka Artillery Regain the Championship of the Army Inter Regiment Athletic Meet 2010
2010-08-19Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery Won the overall Championship of Army Inter Regiment Athletic Cham-pionship held at Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo. Artillery Won the Championship by obtaining 330 points. Commander of the Army graced the occasion as Chief Guest on the Final day on 19 Aug 2010.
Athletes of the Artillery were winners of the Following events on Final Day:
1500 meters – 1st Place
4 x 800 meters – 1st Place
Hammer Throw -1st Place (New Sri Lanka Record)
4 x 400 – 1st Place
Artillery Won 2nd & 3rd places in following events:
100 meters Men - 2nd & 3rd Place
Discus Throw - 2nd & 3rd Place
1500 meters – 3rd Place
Hammer Throw - 2nd Place (Overcomes of the previous Sri Lanka record)
400 meters - 2nd & 3rd Place
