Army Inter Regiment Drill & Band Competition 2014
2015-03-10Sri Lanka Army’s one of the most colourful routine spectacles of the year, the final award of trophies to the winners and participants of the Inter Regiment Drill and Band competition, got underway at Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery ground Panagoda on 10 Mar 15 evening amid a large gathering, headed by Lieutenant General A W J C De Silva RWP USP ndu psc, Commander of the Army as the Chief Guest.
Drill platoon of the Regiment of Artillery placed second in the Army Inter Regiment Drill Competition. Major UB Marasinghe SLA was awarded as the best Commander. In the Inter Regiment Band competition, the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery was adjudged the 1st and the Best. While Bdr Raveendra DEK was awarded as the best Drum Major. The Chief Guest gave away those awards to major winners in the competitions and congratulated each and every one of them.
This was an unique achievement by the Regimental Brass Band in the history of Artillery. Regiment of Artillery wish and congratulates them for their excellent performances.
