2018-10-03Defence Services Handgun Championship - 2018 was held at Army Indoor Gymnasium, Panagoda from 06 to 08 August 2018. Lance Bombardier Jayantha Kumara K M R (9 SLA) won following championships securing 2 Gold Medals.

Further during Hill Country Handgun Shooting Competition - 2018 which was held at Hanthana, Kandy from 30 September 2018 to 01 October 2018, he has won following championships securing 2 Gold Medals and became Runner-up.
