Lt Col B A T S K Basnayake RSP USP IG SLA assumed office as the 10th Commanding Officer of 14 Sri Lanka National Guard on 01 March 2019 at Headquarters, 14 Sri Lanka National Guard, Visuvamadu.

Programme for assuming duties commenced with reviewing the Guard Turnout presented by the Unit. Then as a symbolic gesture of taking over the command, Lt Col B A T S K Basnayake RSP USP IG SLA placed his signature for a formal document after a brief religious observance.
