Official Welcoming Ceremonies of the New President and Annual General Meeting of Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch

Official Welcoming ceremony of the new President and Annual General Meeting of Sri Lanka Artillery SevaVanitha Branch held on 01 June 2019 at the Officers Mess, Sri Lanka Artillery.

At the outset of the welcoming ceremony, a two minutes silence was observed to commemorate War Heroes who sacrificed their lives for the motherland. Lighting of the traditional oil lamp by President Mrs. Ludmila de Silva and other senior members of the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch denoted the commencement of the day's proceedings.

Mrs Anoma Ranawaka welcomed the new president and all the members present for the event. Mrs Rosy Ravipriya announced the AGM minute year 2018.

The new President took over the appointment and announced new committee members for year 2019. Further new President addressed the audience and highlighted the main aim of Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch is to uplift the welfare of the soldiers and their families

There were three financial donations given by the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch in the event day

(a). Mother of S/153428 L/ Bdr Sampath K ( KIA) - 9SLA- Rs 100,000.00 donation for renovate the house

(b). S/155760 S/Sgt Thilakasiri SS -11 SLA - Rs 50,000.00 medical donation for his son

(c). S/158548 Bdr Adhikari RDSD -14 SLA - Rs 50,000.00 medical donation for his wife

Several entertaining features of the Army Cultural Group add glamour to the day's event. Mrs Champika Sudasinghe delivered the thanking speech marking the end of the day's proceedings.
