Lt Col LWB Ridimahaliyadda USP IG SLA assumed office as the 13th Commanding Officer of 5th(V) Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery on 09 August 2019 at Headquarters 5th (V) Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, Kanthale.

Programme for assuming duties commenced with reviewing the Guard Turnout presented by the Unit. Then as a symbolic gesture of taking over the command, Lt Col LWB Ridimahaliyadda USP IG SLA placed his signature for a formal document after a brief religious observance.
