The Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery Felicitated Newly Promoted Major Generals

The Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery presented military honours and warm greetings to the newly promoted Major Generals, Major General KPS Premalal RWP RSP USP and Major General DMTB Dissanayake RSP USP, during a formal ceremony held on 14 December 2020 at the Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda.

Featuring the traditional event, first, they reviewed the Guard Turnout presented by the Regimental Headquarters and accepted the regimental salute accorded by a Guard of Honour mounted by the Regiment. After that, Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Artillery, called on newly promoted Major Generals to his office and extended the best wishes of the Regiment on behalf of the all Officers and Other Ranks of the Regiment. All officers present were posted for a photograph with the Major Generals and day's proceedings were culminated with the all rank lunch at 6th Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery.

Two Major Generals extended their sincere gratitude to all past and present officers and other ranks of the Regiment for paving way for their today's success which was filled with many moments of experiences and happiness. Concluding their remarks, they assured that, they will be the strength that Regiment is expected out of all Gunners whilst expressing their utmost concern over immaculate arrangements made to share their success.
