COLONEL COMMANDANT MARKED HIS MAIDEN VISIT TO 5(V) SLA
2021-02-17The Commander, Security Forces Headquarters (Kilinochchi) and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda marked his maiden visit to 5(V) Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery on 16 February 2021, at Seenipura, Kantale.
The Colonel Commandant was honoured with a Guard Turnout at the main entrance of 5(V) SLA on his arrival and welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 5(V) SLA, Lt Col LWB Ridimahaliyadda USP IG SLA. Subsequently, he laid a flower wreath to the fallen war heroes at the monument hall. After that Colonel Commandant addressed the troops of 5(V) SLA and later, he planted a sapling to mark his visit.The officers and other ranks of the Regiment had a golden opportunity to interact with the Colonel Commandant at the all ranks tea organized.Commanding Officer of 5(V) SLA briefed about the present deployment, duties and developments of the Regiment followed by the camp visit. Day's program was concluded after making remarks at the Visitor's Book.
