Major General WASS Wanasinghe RSP USP ndu assumed duties as the 16th Commander Security Forces Mullaittivu on 04 November 2021.

Ceremonial Formalities for assuming duties was delimited to Drive past at the camp premises under the prevailing COVID-19 protocol. As an emblematic gesture of taking over the Command, Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe placed his signature in a formal document after a brief religious observance. Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - Mullaittivu, General Officers Commanding 57, 59, 64, 66 and 68 Infantry Divisions and Staff Officers of the Security Force Headquarters participated for the event.
