COLONEL COMMANDANT MARKED HIS VISIT TO HEADQUARTERS ARTILLERY BRIGADE AND SCHOOL OF ARTILLERY
2021-12-18The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda ndc IG marked his valedictory visit to Headquarters Artillery Brigade and School of Artillery at Minneriya on 18 December 2021.
A Guard Turnout was accorded to the Colonel Commandant at the main entrance of the School of Artillery and warmly welcomed by the Commander Artillery Brigade, Brigadier Dammika Welagedara RSP USP psc IG and the Commandant School of Artillery, Colonel Roshan Kannangara RSP IG.
Subsequently, after the welcome speech delivered by the Commandant School of Artillery, the Colonel Commandant addressed the troops of Artillery Complex Minneriya. The day's event also textured with the planting of a sapling and all ranks tea at the School of Artillery premises. The event was concluded after signing the visitors' book at the Officers Mess.
The event took place with strictly adhering to the health guidance given to prevent the COVID 19 pandemic.
