The Regiment of Artillery became the Runner-up in 56th Army Road Race
2022-10-02The Army Road Race - 2022, organized by the Athletic Committee of Sri Lanka Army, was commenced at the dawn of 2 October 2022 from the Army Headquarters, Battaramulla. The Chief Guest, Major General T J Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu, Chief of Staff, Army Headquarters signaled athletes to start the competition. A total of 119 participants took part the road race representing 17 Regiments. The Race was held covering a total of 21+km distance commencing from Main entrance Army Headquarters to Army Gymnasium at Panagoda via Diyatha Uyana, Battaramulla, Malabe, Athurugiriya, Habarakada and Panagoda Junction.
The Regiment of Artillery became the Runner-up, having scored total of 77 points. The Colonel Commandant and all ranks of the Regiment of Artillery take this opportunity to congratulate all athletes on their outstanding performances.
