11 SLA (RFT) PERSONNEL RECEIVES COMMANDER OF THE ARMY'S COMMENDATION

The Commander of the Army recently introduced Army Commander's Commendation Badge for distinct achievers in bravery, honesty, commitment towards the national emergencies and duty despite of the life threat. The 11th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery (Rft) Officer and three Other Ranks namely, Major B P G S R Batawala psc, Sergeant Banadara D A, Bombardier Dissanayake W M N K and Gunner Chandrasekara C C I were the first ever set of Gunners to receive the newly introduced "Army Commander's Commendation Badge".

The Commander of the Army awarded the Commendation Badge for those selected during 73rd Army Day Anniversary Celebrations held on 10th October at Panagoda Army Cantonment.
