ASSISTANT INSTRUCTORS IN GUNNERY SEMINAR - 2022 AND SENIOR NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS' WORKSHOP

After two consecutive years of silence, Assistance Instructors in Gunnery Seminar - 2022, one of the prime training events undertaken by the School of Artillery, was successfully held on 05th November 2022 at the School of Artillery, Minneriya with the participation of 69 AIGs from all Artillery units. Three research presentations related to the field of Gunnery were delivered by the AIGs before the audience which evaluated by a panel of IGs headed by the Commandant School of Artillery, Col KADNR Kannangara RSP IG. The day's event was culminated with an interaction session at the Gunners' Club.

The School of Artillery organized the "Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Workshop" as an especial event with the participation of 121 SNCOs in parallel with AIGs Seminar on 06 November 2022. Two retired Senior Gunner Officers and a guest lecturer from Divisional Secretariat, Dambulla conducted fruitful awareness session on selected subjective areas. The lecture on Leadership and Motivation by Maj KG Chandrasiri (Rtd) and followed by the Post Retirement life by Mrs MK Mihirani Illankoon. The lecture conducted by the Maj Gen A D G A Jayawardane (Rtd) RSP USP ndu IG, on the theme 'Life Lessons' was the pinnacle of day's session which brought immensely benefits to all participants.
