2022-12-14Lt Col HHMPJB Herath RSP psc SLA assumed duties as the 16th Commanding Officer of 8th Medium Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery on 17 November 2022 at the Headquarters, 8th Medium Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, Muthiyankaddukulam.
The programme for assuming duties commenced with reviewing the Guard Turnout. Lt Col HHMPJB Herath RSP psc SLA placed his signature on a formal document after a brief religious observance as a symbolic gesture of taking over the command. The day's event itinerary included planting a mango sapling, troop address and concluded with all ranks tea at the ORs' Mess.
