Lt Col DKOK Gunathilaka USP psc SLA assumed duties as the 31st Commanding Officer of 4th Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery on 14 December 2022 at Headquarters, 4th Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, Panagoda.

Programme for assuming duties commenced with reviewing the Guard Turnout. Lt Col DKOK Gunathilaka USP psc SLA placed his signature on a formal document after a brief religious observance as a symbolic gesture of taking over the command. The day's event included planting a Sandalwood sapling, Troop address and concluded with All Ranks Tea at the ORs' Mess.
