Newly promoted 24 Infantry Division GOC greeted in Welcome Ceremony
2023-02-13Major General W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding of the 24 Infantry Division of Security Forces - East who was recently promoted to the rank of Major General was welcomed in a formal ceremony on 13 February 2023 when he arrived at the 24 Infantry Division Headquarters at Ampara.
Upon his arrival, he received the salute in Guard of Honour parade, hosted by troops of 18 VIR. He also left memories by planting a "Sal" sapling in the premises and subsequently addressed the Officers and Other Ranks of the Division.
All Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers under Command to 24 Infantry Division were present during the ceremony.
