THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE ARTILLERY SEVA VANITHA BRANCH - 2024

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery conducted its Annual General Meeting on 23 March 2024. The event commenced with a series of activities under the patronage of Mrs. Suwendrini Rodrigo, the President of the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch.

Following the opening ceremony, a workshop was held from 1500 hrs 1730 hrs led by the renowned beautician, Mrs. Chandhani Bandara, Chairperson of 4Ever Cosmetics (Pvt) Ltd in lining with the Women’s Day programme.

Subsequently, the AGM took place from 1800 hrs to 1930 hrs focusing on the following agenda:

Appointment of the New Committee.
Review of the programs conducted in 2023.
Suggestions for the upcoming year.

In line with the AGM, a housing Aid worth of Rs 100,000 and a Medical Aid worth of Rs 50,000 have been awarded to Mr. Marasinghe and Mr. Manjula, Civilian Staff who serving at the Officers’ Mess respectively.

Subsequently, the former Vice President Mrs. Saumya Ranasinghe delivered the vote of thanks and formally concluded the AGM.

The event transitioned into the Artillery Seva Vanitha Ladies Talent Show - 2024, adding vibrancy to the occasion. Performers were presented with gift packs from 4Ever Cosmetics. The evening concluded with a dinner, marking the end of series of unforgettable events.

The entire event was conducted under the direct guidance and supervision of the Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG.
