Charity Project; Offering Lunch (almsgiving) for Senior Citizens at Senehasa Elders' Homs: Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch Initiative
2024-09-07Upon the initiative of Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, the president of the Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch (SLASVB) along with all members organized a charity project by offering lunch (almsgiving) to Senior Citizens at Senehasa Elders' Home on 07 September 2024 in accordance with the celebration of 75 Anniversary of Sri Lanka Army. The lunch (almsgiving) was offered to 60 x Senior Citizens at Senehasa Elders' Home followed by interaction session with elders who reside there. In addition to the almsgiving the SLASVB together with all members of Sri Lanka Artillery donated essential commodity to Senehasa Elders' Home. Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG, Commander Security Forces (Central) and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Artillery, along with Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended the event, marking it a significant and meaningful.
