Senior Non-Commissioned Officers’ Workshop 2024/3: Shaping the Future of Leadership

In a remarkable initiative aimed at honing the leadership potential and skills of the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers within the Sri Lanka Artillery, the School of Artillery recently hosted the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers' Workshop 2024/3 from 30 September to 04 October 2024 at the School of Artillery, Minneriya. Under the insightful guidance of the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, the event brought together 56 seasoned Senior Non-Commissioned Officers for an enriching and transformative experience.

Major General KAU Kodituwakku RSP USP psc IG, Commander of the 11 Infantry Division, honoured the inaugural session by delivering the opening address, followed by a lecture on leadership, designed to enhance the military leadership skills.

The participants delved into subjects including introduction to the organization of the Army, grievance handling and management in workplace, responsibilities and duties of SNCO at the unit level, welfare measures in the Sri Lanka Army, dress, dining and social etiquettes, awareness of illegal activities, time and event management and team building activities.

The pinnacle of the workshop featured the certificate awarding ceremony and the closing address, graced by the presence of Commander Artillery Brigade. The Commandant School of Artillery, all instructors and students were also attended the event.
