Sri Lanka Artillery Triathlon Team Retains Championship Title

The Sri Lanka Artillery Triathlon team has successfully clinched the Army Inter Regiment Triathlon Championship 2024 for the second consecutive year. The event was held at and around the Chandrika Tank, Embilipitiya, on 29 September 2024. This victory highlights the consistent performance and dedication of the Sri Lanka Artillery athletes in the field of triathlon.

In a competitive display, the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) and the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment secured the 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively. The individual performances of the athletes also stood out, with S/165435 L/Bdr Karunarathna EWGDD of the Sri Lanka Artillery securing the 3rd place in the novices category among a total of seven participants. His achievement demonstrates the promising potential within the regiment's emerging talent pool.
