MAJOR GENERAL K V N P PREMARATNE RSP USP psc ASSUMED DUTIES AS THE 27th COLONEL COMMANDANT OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY WOMEN’S CORPS
2024-12-16Major General K V N P Premaratne RSP USP psc assumed duties as the 27th Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) following military formalities and religious blessings at the Regimental Headquarters Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps, Borella on Thursday 12 December 2024.
Upon the arrival of the newly appointed Colonel Commandant the proceedings were followed by a Guard turn out, Guard of honour and laying of flower wreath to the war heroine’s monument.
Subsequently Major General Nilantha Premaratne in his new office placed the signature in a formal document symbolizing the assumption of duties as the Colonel Commandant and the addressed the troops.
At present Major General Nilantha Premaratne also holding the appointment as the Commander Security Forces (EAST).
