New Director of the Directorate of Media and Psychological Operations Assumes Office

Brigadier M J R S Medagoda RSP USP ndc psc IG of the Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) assumed office as the new Director of the Directorate of Media and Psychological Operations and Army Spokesman at the Army Headquarters during a brief formal ceremony on 16 December 2024.

Amidst religious blessings, Brigadier M J R S Medagoda RSP USP ndc psc IG symbolically placed his signature on an official document to signify the acceptance of his new office. In keeping with traditions, the new Director of Media and Psychological Operations later posed for photographs. He then addressed both Officers and Other Ranks, outlining his vision for the future of the Directorate, followed by an All-Ranks tea.

Before assuming duties as the Director of the Directorate of Media and Psychological Operations and Army Spokesman, he held the position of Senior Directing Staff at the National Defence College.

Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of the Directorate of Media and Psychological Operations participated in the event.
