Certificate Awarding Ceremony of Long Gunnery Staff Course (OR) FD - 19
2024-12-26Certificate awarding Ceremony of the Long Gunnery Staff Course (OR) FD - 19, which was commenced from 1 February to 21 December 2024, was held on 21 December 2024 at School of Artillery, Minneriya. After a successful completion of the course, 7 SNCOs/NCOs were graduated as Assistant Instructors in Gunnery.
Brigadier General Staff, Security Force Headquarters (EAST), Brigadier W S V Fernando USP ndc IG graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He witnessed the final presentation of the course on the subject of “Study of the 155 MM BOFORS FH 77B Artillery System" on the eve of the final ceremony. The Chief Guest awarded certificates and insignias to new AIsG during the ceremony.
S/162838 Sargent Gayan W M B of 4 SLA secured the first in the order of merit, having obtained the highest aggregate. The Commander Artillery Brigade, Commandant School of Artillery, representatives of all Artillery Regiments and Family members of course participants were present during this event.
