THE CULMINATION OF SUCCESSFUL 14-DAY UNIT TRAINING 9TH FIELD REGIMENT SRI LANKA ARTILLERY
2025-01-03The 9th Field Regiment, Sri Lanka Artillery, marked another incredible milestone by the completion of the unit collective training, which lasted from 12 Dec 2024 to 30 Dec 2024, under the expert instructors of the School of Artillery. This training testifies to the strength, collective spirit, professionalism, and determination of each individual.
Over the course of training, this was energized with 8 x 265 Gunner Officers and Soldiers. They were equipped with an extensive and comprehensive knowledge of gunnery, demonstrated a profound understanding of the intricate mechanism, tactical deployment, and strategic utilization. The course encompassed a broad and in-depth curriculum along with fire discipline, voice procedure, gun drill, ammunition introductions, command post exercises, and a final deployment exercise.
The unit collective training was obtained to be followed as a result of the comprehensive enthusiasm and guidance of Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Artillery and under the supervision and encouragement of the Commander Artillery Brigade, and with the mass dedication and encouragement by the Commandant School of Artillery.
