Gunners Extravaganza 2025 - A Night of Music

On the evening of January 24, 2025, the highly anticipated "Gunners Extravaganza 2025 with Chandimal Fernando" took place, organized by the Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch. The musical gala, featuring Chandimal Fernando, captivated music lovers for an unforgettable night of entertainment, held at the Grand Maitland Colombo 07.

The President of the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, together with the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, graced the event as the Chief Guests. General Srilal Weerasooriya (Retd) RWP RSP VSV USP ndc IG and Mrs Dilhani Weerasooriya as the Guests of Honour, The Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Inspector General of Police Senior Deputy Inspector General Priyantha weerasooriya, and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Artillery Major General Nilantha Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, along with the President of the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Vindya Premaratne, attended the event as other distinguished invitees.

The event was more than a musical spectacle, it was a heartfelt fundraiser organized by the Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch to uplift lives and create meaningful change. Proceeds from the event will support the welfare programs, offering vital support to the dependents of fallen war heroes, injured soldiers. Additionally, the funds will be used to assist financially challenged members of the Gunners' Family.

In recognition of their difficulties of living in present houses Bdr Wijeratne RDHA (9 SLA) and Civil Staff Mr. MPTK Marasinghe were granted support for the construction of new houses. This generous initiative, facilitated by the Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Artillery, was symbolically presented during the event, marking a significant gesture of appreciation.
