Commandant SLMA Visits FFR to Motivate Artillery Practical Firing Team

The Commandant of the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) Maj Gen MJRS Medagoda RSP USP ndc psc IG paid a special visit to the Field Fire Range (FFR) today to address and motivate the Artillery Practical Firing Team ahead of the upcoming Inter-Regiment Practical Firing Meet.

During the visit, the Commandant engaged with the team, inquiring about their requirements and assuring them of the Academy’s support. This interaction served as a great encouragement, reinforcing the team’s confidence by demonstrating that senior gunner officers stand firmly behind them.

As a further gesture of support, an additional nutritious soup was provided to the team by SLMA, ensuring their well-being during the rigorous training sessions.

Accompanying the Commandant were several senior officers, including the Commanding Officer of the Admin Wing and the Liaison Officer (Volunteer) at SLMA, highlighting the collective commitment of leadership towards the team’s success.

This visit not only uplifted the morale of the Artillery Practical Firing Team but also reinforced the camaraderie and support essential for excelling in the competition.
