COMMANDER ARTILLERY BRIGADE MAKES MAIDEN VISIT TO 8 SLA

Brigadier TGIA Ariyaratne RSP IG, Commander Artillery Brigade, conducted his maiden visit to the 8th Medium Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery at Kokavil, Kilinochchi, on 13th February 2025.

Upon arrival, the Commander Artillery Brigade was received with a Drive Pass at the main entrance of the 8th Medium Regiment and welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel CDB Dissanayake RSP USP. Following the welcome, the Commander Artillery Brigade was invited to lunch at the Officers' Mess. Subsequently, the Commanding Officer conducted a comprehensive unit briefing.

Following the briefing, the Commanding Officer provided an overview of issues pertaining to unit level matters. Afterwards, the Commander Artillery Brigade addressed the troops before touring the camp premises.

In commemoration of his visit, the Commanding Officer presented the Commander Artillery Brigade with a souvenir. The day's program concluded with a tea reception at the Officers' Mess.

The memorable visit concluded with the Commander Artillery Brigade recording his thoughts and gratitude in the Visitors' Book before his departure.
