COLONEL COMMANDANT’S VISIT TO ARTILLERY COMPLEX MINNERIYA

The Adjutant General of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General K V N P Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, conducted a progress review visit to the Artillery Complex Minneriya on 26 February 2025.

The visit commenced with an inspection of the proposed All Ranks Holiday Bungalows and Officers’ Accommodation Blocks. The Colonel Commandant assessed the existing facilities and identified areas for further enhancement to improve the welfare and effectiveness of personnel.

Following the site inspection, the Commandant of School of Artillery provided a comprehensive briefing on the progress of on-going construction projects within the complex, detailing key developments and future plans.

Subsequently, the GSO I of the Artillery Brigade delivered an in-depth presentation on the implementation and advancements of the Learning Management System (LMS), emphasizing its role in enhancing training and educational processes for artillery personnel.

Later, the Officers in charge of Gunners’ Club and Gunners’ Super also brought their current status of respective institutions and Colonel Commandant instructed them, in important areas of his concern for the better operation of those.

The visit underscored the commitment to continuous development within the Artillery Complex, ensuring efficiency, enhanced training capabilities, and improved welfare for all personnel.
