COMMANDER ARTILLERY BRIGADE VISITS 6 FIELD REGIMENT SRI LANKA ARTILLERY
2025-03-06Brigadier T G I A Ariyaratne RSP IG, Commander of the Artillery Brigade, conducted an official visit to the 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery in Veyangoda on 28th February 2025. He was warmly received with a Guard Turnout, followed by a cordial welcome from the Overlooking Commanding Officer, Major N C Karunarathne RSP USP psc SLA, alongside all officers and other ranks.
The visit commenced with a formal group photograph, capturing the significance of the occasion. This was followed by a comprehensive unit briefing delivered by the Overlooking Commanding Officer, outlining key operational updates and regimental progress. A highlight of the visit was an inspiring address by the Commander, Artillery Brigade, during which he emphasized the vision and role of the Gunners while also shedding light on the adverse impact of online gambling in the present-day context.
Subsequently, Brigade Commander conducted a field visit, engaging with officers and troops to gain first-hand insight into on-going regimental activities. The visit concluded with an interactive session at the Officers’ Mess, fostering camaraderie and professional discourse. Before departing, the Brigade Commander penned his thoughts in the Visitors' Book, marking the occasion as a memorable and successful event.
